Aurora’s single post settings control how individual blog posts look and what features appear on them. All settings live under Layouts → Single Post Layout in the Customizer.

Accessing Single Post Settings

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize.
  2. Open Layouts → Single Post Layout.

Navigate to a post in the live preview panel to see changes applied in real time.

Available Settings

Single Post Layout

Selects the template used for all single post pages. Aurora ships with 10 layouts covering a range of styles from full-width editorial to narrow reading-focused designs. See How to Switch Single Post Layouts for a full comparison.

Sidebar

A checkbox that shows or hides the sidebar on single posts. When enabled, the sidebar appears alongside your post content. See How to Show or Hide the Sidebar for more detail.

Drop Cap Style

Controls the styled first letter at the opening of each post. Options are None, Bold, Casual, and Pretty. See How to Enable and Configure the Drop Cap for a full breakdown of each style.

Social Sharing Buttons

A set of checkboxes that enable sharing buttons for up to 10 platforms. Each platform can be toggled independently. The buttons appear at the bottom of the post. See How to Configure Social Share Buttons for the full platform list.

Per-Post Overrides

The settings above apply globally to all single posts. If you need a different layout, sidebar visibility, header, or footer on a specific post, the Nova plugin adds per-post override controls directly in the post editor sidebar. Changes made there apply to that post only and take precedence over the global Customizer settings.
