Aurora gives you dedicated layout options for the search results page. The search page uses its own layout setting and inherits your global archive settings for post display, pagination, and sidebar visibility.

Switching the Search Results Layout

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize.
  2. Open Layouts → Search Results Layout.
  3. Select a layout from the dropdown.
  4. Use the search bar in the live preview to navigate to a search results page.
  5. Click Publish.

Aurora ships with 3 search layouts. Each presents the search banner differently. The post results below the banner always use your active archive layout.

Post Display on Search Results

The post grid on the search results page follows the same settings as your archive pages: the archive layout style, masonry, posts per page, and load more vs pagination options all apply. There are no separate post display settings for search.

See How to Configure Archive Settings for the full list of options.

Sidebar on Search Results

The sidebar visibility setting under Layouts → Archive Layout controls whether the sidebar appears on search results pages. The same toggle applies to category archives, tag archives, and author pages.
