Aurora’s author pages have two parts: the author header at the top of the page, and the post grid below it. The header is controlled by the author layout setting. The post grid follows your global archive settings.

Choosing an Author Layout

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize.
  2. Open Layouts → Author Page Layout.
  3. Select a layout from the dropdown.
  4. Click Publish.

Aurora includes 4 author layouts. Each presents the author’s name, bio, and avatar in a different way. Navigate to an author page in the live preview to compare them before publishing.

Author Social Links

All four author layouts display social profile links alongside the author bio. These links are pulled from the author’s WordPress profile, not from the global Customizer social settings.

To add social links to an author profile:

  1. Go to Users → Your Profile (or edit any user from Users → All Users).
  2. Scroll to the Contact Info section.
  3. Enter the URLs for the relevant social platforms.
  4. Click Update Profile.

Post Display on Author Pages

The post grid on author pages uses the same archive layout, masonry setting, posts per page, and load more option configured under Layouts → Archive Layout. There are no separate post display settings for author pages.

See How to Configure Archive Settings for the full list of options.

Per-Author Overrides

If you want a specific author’s page to use a different layout or archive style from the global settings, the Nova plugin adds override controls to each user’s profile in WP Admin. You can set a different author layout, archive template, masonry preference, and posts per page per author without touching the global Customizer settings.
